*Wasn’t the backstage area of a CWF arena exciting? Maybe to some, but not to the likes of the one the cameras are currently following. MaKenna Burns walks through the hallway, her figure flattering white dress doing it’s job. MaKenna as always looked like a celebrity. She always looked the very part she claimed to be. The glitz, the glamour, the star. This time, something was slightly different. MaKenna had some one following her. A small, quiet, yet very intimidating looking blonde Asian woman. Her hands were folded delicately in front of her as she silently followed MaKenna. As MaKenna turned the corner she spotted her sister Kenzie coming out of her locker room. A wicked grin came across MaKenna’s face as she quickened her steps. She approached Kenzie who looked rather displeased at MaKenna standing before her.*
Kenzie - What the hell do you want Kenna?
MaKenna - Oh MaKenzie, who says I want anything? Maybe I just want to see and spend a few moments chatting with my sister. Would that be so wrong?
Kenzie - For you….yes it would. Who’s your friend?
MaKenna - Oh this, is Miyuki. She is more than just a friend.
Kenzie - What’s wrong Kenna? Evan wasn’t satisfying enough you had to turn to an Asian hooker? I hear if you give them five dollars they will…..
*MaKenna quickly holds her hand up in the air cutting Kenzie off.*
MaKenna - Don’t even. You can toss about your clever little quips all you want to MaKenzie. But you see, Miyuki is more of an insurance policy. Evan is a very valuable asset to me and my mission. The two of us together is only a natural, logical fit, as we are both true stars.
Kenzie - In your heads maybe.
MaKenna - Very clever. But you see Evan and I are already on our way to a victory. We are well ahead of the curve.
Kenzie - And just how is that?
MaKenna - Because MaKenzie, we are working together. Our talents and determination combined will do much more for us, then you and your silly little games, with your silly little people. MaKenzie, when will you learn that your little antics do nothing for you? When will you learn that you are supposed to represent a company, set the standard for all the other women, and yet you run around making a mockery of everything. People look at you in disgrace. They don’t respect you, they don’t idolize you, they pity you and your poor attempts to get attention.
*Kenzie just rolls her eyes and folds her arms across her chest not looking at all amused by MaKenna’s words. It is nothing she hasn’t heard before.*
MaKenna - You know MaKenzie, out of our wonderful 3 year history together in this business, we have only gotten the opportunity to compete against each other 1 time.
Kenzie - I know, and if I remember correctly, I retired your ass. Yet here you are, still floating about on your pedestal.
MaKenna - Yes, here I am. What can I say, this business needs star power. The point I was getting at, was you and Tweeks used to have this strong connection. The two of you were never without each other. Where there was one, there was the other. A bond so strong that you could read each others thoughts. Never was there a time that you wouldn’t go to battle for the other. Never was there a time when you would leave the other stranded and alone.
Kenzie - What is your damn point Kenna?
MaKenna - Yet here you are, all alone. Tweeks hasn’t shown his face around this place in what…..three weeks? He’s been taunted by Evan, called out by Lance Khaos, and even booked in a mixed tag match with you….and yet, he’s no where to be seen. Has he picked up that magic act again? Or has he grown tired of you? Is he locked up away at home in Seattle running around various music concerts living life, or maybe he is putting a bunch of time into his baby Ska Land. Either way, he is leaving you high and dry to fight and defend yourself. I’m sure he’d say something along the lines of knowing you are more than capable of handling things on your own.
Kenzie - I seem to be doing just fine as is.
MaKenna - True, but do you think you can honestly handle yourself alone in the match? The way he is going he isn’t even going to show up to Redemption, which is in his precious home town. You are going to be left to fight not only me, but Evan Starr as well…all on your own. MaKenzie you are getting fed to the lions here. Two people, who can’t stand what you and Tweeks stand for. Two people who are more determined than ever to bring the two of you crumbling down. Two people who are going to be able to do just that this coming Monday.
*MaKenna pauses and grins slowly. Kenzie looked back at her looking none too happy with anything MaKenna had been saying.*
MaKenna - Truth be told MaKenzie, I hope Tweeks doesn’t show. Not because it would make the battle that much easier. Not because I don’t think Evan is capable of holding his own. But because by the end of Monday night, when you are laying on your back in the middle of that ring. Looking over at your empty corner where Tweeks should be. Evan and I standing over your limp lifeless body, our arms raised in victory, I want you to know that you have been left…abandoned. But I also want Tweeks to see that his one true love, his beloved wife, his Kenzikins, being carted off by paramedics, and having to realize that the reason she is in so much pain. The reason she is in so much agony, is all his fault. Because he wasn’t there when she needed him. He wasn’t there like he always had been.
*Taking a couple steps closer to Kenzie, MaKenna was smirking now more than ever.*
MaKenna - Face it MaKenzie, your husband, was doomed to fail and disappoint you from the beginning. Now you are just going to realize it.
*As MaKenna finishes her sentence Kenzie steps back and doing so pulls her fist back. As she going to deliver a punch straight to MaKenna’s face her arm is stopped by Miyuki. Miyuki quickly and very effortlessly spins Kenzie around twisting and pinning her arm against her back. Kenzie bites her lip from the pain. MaKenna grabs a hold of Kenzie’s face. Forcing her to look into MaKenna’s eyes before smacking her hard across the face. A small amount of blood begins to flow from Kenzie’s lip. MaKenna motions with her head to Miyuki who releases Kenzie and returns to her position behind MaKenna.*
MaKenna - I never did get the chance to give you a wedding present…..
*MaKenna hands Kenzie a business card.*
MaKenna - It’s a good divorce lawyer, by the time this is all over, I’m sure you’ll need it.
*Finishing her last statement MaKenna lets out a soft laugh before turning on her heels and continuing down the hallway with Miyuki close behind.*
